York Drops Tampering Charge Against Jets

San Francisco 49ers president Jed York says that the team is dropping the tampering charge against the New York Jets over Michael Crabtree.
The 49ers filed tampering charges with the NFL regarding their then-negotiations with first-round draft pick Crabtree. Former NFL player Deion Sanders said he knew two teams that were willing to pay Crabtree what he wanted while he was holding out from the 49ers. The Niners investigated and filed the charge against New York.
After a long hold-out, the 49ers finally signed Crabtree to a six-year contract in early October. He has 22 catches for 292 yards and one touchdown since joining the 49ers.
During his sophomore season at Texas Tech, Crabtree caught 97 passes for 1,165 yards and 19 touchdowns. He finished his college career with 231 receptions for 3,127 yards and 41 TDs.
