With the Spring Training getting under way, Major League Baseball’s most controversial batting instructor hopes to help the St. Louis Cardinals slug their way to a World Series Championship.

But will Mark McGwire’s off-season confessions prove to be too much of a distraction in the Cards’ clubhouse.

Last month, McGwire ended more than a decade of denials by admitting that he used steroids and human growth hormone while becoming baseball’s home run king.

Now Big Mac looks to put all that behind him and help his team move forward and get to the business of playing baseball.

Manager Tony LaRussa has always been a huge McGwire fan and will defend him to the end. He has been extremely optimistic about this entire situation.
