Who Needs Brett Favre With Joe Webb Under Center

Once again, the NFL and the Minnesota Viking are being held hostage by Brett Favre as the soon to be 41 year old quarterback decides whether or not he wants to play another season in the NFL.

While the Vikings wait, sixth-round draft choice Joe Webb out of University of Alabama-Birmingham has really begun to impress coaches.

Webb was thought to be a wide receiver prospect by many NFL scouts leading up to the draft and that is exactly where the Vikings thought he would be as well.

However, head coach Brad Childress decided to give him a few reps at quarterback and Webb did not disappoint.

Now, there is talk about Webb being the Vikings next star at quarterback. If Webb continues to improve the way Minnesota hopes, Sage Rosenfels could be the odd man out if Favre decides to return for a 20th season.
