What Are The Chargers Doing With The Offense

In the same week the Chargers decided to release running back LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego also opted not to tender running back Darren Sproles, leaving a huge hole in their backfield.
Sproles is now free to test the waters of free agency.
I realize that the Chargers have evolved into a pass-first offense with quarterback Phillip Rivers, but this is ridiculous.
How can a team that was once so dependent on the run change so quickly? What to they plan to do about next season?
It would have to be expected that the Bolts will now have to take a serious look at guys like Minnesota’s Chester Taylor and Pittsburgh’s Willie Parker. Both are now free agents.
The draft is obviously another option, but you would think they would want more of a veteran presence behind Rivers, especially in pass protection.
