The Villanova Wildcats may be the team to watch as they beat up on the Duke Blue Devils 77-54 to advance to the Elite Eight in this tournament that has seen few upsets.

True, Duke was only about a 2 point favorite going into this one so this is not a huge upset. However, I don’t think anyone could have predicted a 23 point win over the 2nd seeded Blue Devils.

Now, as the Wildcats look head to their match-up with the Pitt Panthers on Saturday, they will surely have to stay on top of their game to pull off anther upset against the Panthers.

Senior forward Dante Cunningham will have to stay hot against Big East rival Pittsburgh. His 14 points and 11 rebounds helped his Wildcats cruise past Duke. Junior guard Scottie Reynolds also had a big game with 16 points.

“Hopefully that will be some magical power that helps us beat Pitt,” Wildcats guard Scottie Reynolds said.

Well, they may not need magic to beat Pitt, but they will need to play mistake-free Basketball to overtake the number 1 seeded Panthers.
