Urban Meyer Tries To Covers Up 911 Call

Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer says he tried to cover up the reason for his hospital visit following the Southeastern Conference Title game because he didn’t want to alarm his family or football team.

Meyer didn’t want to answer questions about his health, however he did speak about the 911 call his wife made on December 6th.

“My husband’s having chest pains,” Shelley Meyer said to the dispatcher. “He’s having chest pains, he just woke up in the middle of the night and said he’s having chest pains.”

Meyer didn’t want any of this to get out at all. He thought it better to lie to protect his children and his players.

I’m not sure how people will react to this.

Meyer has a reputation of being a devote catholic and being untruthful is not in his nature.

It is not as if he was trying to hold on to his job or create some kind of personal gain with his lie. I mean he tried to resign the other day.

I say it’s personal and he lied… so what.
