Sheldon Brown Tries To Take High Road Out Of Philly
Posted Under: Football Betting
According to a Philadelphia Inquirer report, Eagles cornerback Sheldon Brown says he will attend the team’s mandatory minicamp when it starts Friday morning.
Brown told reporters that he fully intends to stay professional when and if the Eagles find a way to fulfill his trade demands. The eight-year corner has has four years left on his six-year deal. According to Brown, he has been asking the Eagles to renegotiate for a year, without success, and feels disrespected.
While we can certainly appreciate Brown wanting to take the high road, are we to praise him?
In this era where players have gotten bigger than the game at some point a line has to be drawn in the sand. I don’t understand why players feel they don’t have to honor their contracts. Brown said he feels disrespected? Why should the Eagles even consider renegotiating?
