Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay scattered seven hits in a complete game victory to become Major League Baseball’s first 10-game of the 2009 season.

The Blue Jays only needed Halladay’s 97 pitches against the Los Angeles Angels to record his 43rd career complete game and 12th career shutout in a 4-0 win.

The right-hander allowed just seven singles while winning his seventh straight decision. He struck out six and walked none in the victory.

Vernon Wells’ sacrifice fly in the first inning proved to be all Toronto needed in the win. Lyle Overbay extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a towering solo homer in the second that bounced off the center-field restaurant. It was his seventh homer of the season and second in three games.

Aaron Hill also hit his 13th homer of the season in the third inning as the Blue Jays took the rubber game of the series.
