St. Louis’ slugger Albert Pujols has more home runs than strikeouts against Randy Johnson after going deep two more times off the Big Unit.

Pujols is 11 for 24 with five homers, 14 RBIs and four strikeouts against the big left-hander, but Johnson did what he had to do against the rest of the Cards line-up to get the 6-3 win for the Giants.

“He’s doing what he does and we won the game, that’s the bottom line,” Johnson said. “My individual battles are obviously there, but I’m facing eight or nine hitters and if one guy has his day against me but we win, I feel like I did my job.”

St. Louis has lost three straight since acquiring Mark DeRosa in a trade with the Cleveland Indians. DeRosa has been a quiet 0 for 9 since coming over.

Overall, the Cardinals have lost six of their last seven games.
