Phillies All-Star Jimmy Rollins lined a two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning off closer Jonathan Broxton and Philadelphia rallied past the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 to take a 3-1 lead in the NL Championship Series.
The defending champs can earn their second straight trip to the World Series with a victory at home on Wednesday night in Game 5. Cole Hamels, last year’s NLCS and World Series MVP, will take the mound for the Phillies.
It is unclear who Dodgers Manager Joe Torre will go with in the this one with elimination on the line. Either Clayton Kershaw or Vicente Padilla is expected to start for Los Angeles.
