It appears that Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson is going to play it safe with super star Kobe Bryant.

It was believed that the perennial all-star may be back in the line-up Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors, however, Bryant missed his fourth straight in the Lakers 104-94 win.

With Kobe out again, fourth-year guard Shannon Brown set career highs with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Los Angeles has now won four in a row without Bryant.

The Lakers did get back Andrew Bynum. After missing two games with a bruised hip, Bynum scored 21 and added 7 rebounds.

If the Lakers keep up this pace without Bryant in the line-up, the pressure will be off and Phil Jackson will have the liberty to get Bryant and his ailing ankle the rest it truly needs.

So often players rush back and play hurt.
