In a U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Virginia, Judge Frank Santoro approved Michael Vick’s plan to repay his creditors that are owed $20 million and start to work his way out of debt.

The judge said that while Vick was “at the pinnacle of his profession,” he wasn’t able to properly manage his finances, so he would be ordered to retain a financial planner as part of the agreement.

After leaving the courtroom, Vick didn’t stop long to answer questions as he needed to get back to Philadelphia for tonight’s game against the Jaguars.

“I’m happy it’s over. I can move on with my life,” Vick said. “I’m excited about the game.”

Vick’s creditor are now his most supportive fans.

The payment plan set forth is apparently based on how much money Vick makes per year. He is slated to earn about $1.6 million playing for the Eagles in 2009. After paying creditors and his legal team, he should take home about $475,000.
