March Madness Betting - Purdue vs Connecticut Odds

Just in time for UConn to be focusing on the Boilermakers of Purdue in the Sweet Sixteen, the Huskies are faced with having to deal with allegations of recruitment violations concerning former player Nate Miles.
But, though this off-court distraction has cast a shadow over the number 1 seeded Huskies, how will it effect UConn on the hardwood? The Huskies have overcome a lot of adversity already in their quest for a third national title.
So far UConn has seemed impervious to the turmoil that has been the 2008-09 season, but how much more can these kids take?
When guard Jerome Dyson was lost for the season on February 11th, the Huskies lost three of seven games as they adjusted to his absence. Then the NCCA tournament began with their head coach Jim Calhoun being hospitalized, the Huskies responded by winning by an average of 41 points in the opening two rounds.
Odds makers are calling Connecticut a 6.5 point favorites over the Boilermakers on Thursday night and their are no indications that the Huskies won’t continue to roll. They may be one of the most mentally tough teams in the history of the sport.
