The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic 101-96 in overtime to go ahead two games to none in the best out of seven series.
Now that the series heads back to Orlando, the Magic are 0-6 in NBA Finals games. They will really need to step it up a notch to get back in this one. However, with a 2-3-2 series format, Orlando should have every opportunity to claw their way back.
For the Lakers, with the win, they move two games away from their 15th NBA Championship.
Kobe Bryant scored 29 points, and Pau Gasol had a big overtime and finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
In this one, Los Angeles and the Magic traded the lead back and forth all night long, but in the second half and overtime, Kobe and the Lakers were able to hold on for the victory. Bryant score 26 of his 29 points after half-time.
The Magic needed this game. It is going to be tough for Orlando to come back from 0-2.
