Governor Getting Involved In “Who Dat” Issue
Posted Under: Football Betting
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jingal is getting into the “Who Dat” fray with the NFL.
According to reports, Jingal is asking the state attorney general to look into a possible lawsuit over the ownership rights to the popular New Orleans Saints phrase.
Earlier in the week, the NFL sent out cease-and-desist letters demanding vendors stop selling shirts with the traditional cheer of Saints fans.
So how can the league take control on a cheer used by fans? Once again, it’s all about the money.
Saints fans have been using the “Who Dat” cheer as a rallying cry for years and no one cared in the least. Now that the Saints are in the Super Bowl, the league can’t imagine anyone make any money but them.
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
Nice job Mr. Goodell.
