Gambler Doesn’t Care How She Gets To The Casino

According to police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an elderly woman used her motorized scooter and hopped on the interstate to try to get to the casino.

Charlie Martin didn’t make it to play the slots.

Police said that after numbers calls from concerned motorist, the highway patrol tracked down the senior citizen after she fell into the bushes along side of the road.

Apparently, her oxygen tank was running low and she stopped and tried to get up when she collapsed on the side of Inter-State 25.

Rescue workers were able to help her up and supplied Martin with more oxygen before taking her to an area hospital. She told officers on the scene that she thought it would be a good idea to take the highway because it was the shortest route to the Sandia Resort and Casino‎.

Her van was broken.

When new reporters asked Martin if she still planned on going to gamble, she laughed and said, “If I can get a ride.”
