Final Four Set - Who’s The Favorite In Detroit?

Sixty-five teams began with aspirations of a National Championship in men’s basketball some two and a half weeks ago, but now we are down to four.

Three of the Final Four teams would be considered regulars. North Carolina, Michigan State and Connecticut seem to always be around this time of year and are far from surprises heading into the championship. The Villanova Wildcats are a third seed and who most would have not expected to be here, but don’t dismiss them too quickly.

The Wildcats may be playing the best basketball right now. But are they strong enough to complete this journey they are on with a championship victory? I say no.

My philosophy throughout the tournament has been, go with the Big East team and it has worked out OK thus far and I am going to stick with that when I place my bets.

I predict an all Big East final, Villanova upsets North Carolina and faces UConn in the big dance. The Huskies come away with the victory against their conference rival.
