Don’t Buy In To All The Cardinals Hype

NFL odds makers have the Pittsburgh Steelers sitting at about -7 in this Sunday’s Super Bowl in Tampa. And with all the hype swirling about the Arizona Cardinals and their explosive offense they appear to be a lock getting a touchdown, right?
The Cardinals are drawing a lot of comparisons to last year’s NY Giants. Like the Giants, they are the team no one expected to be here and the Kurt Warner to Larry Fitzgerald combo is on fire right now. If last year’s New York team is the model, I like Pittsburgh.
On the field the Steelers are playing more like the Giants did during their improbable run. They are winning with a tough defense that knows how to get after the quarterback and not many teams have been able to run against their front four.
On offense, Willie Parker is healthy and running strong and Ben Roethlisberger has been nothing but clutch as of late.
Pittsburgh is more than capable of keeping Warner on the side line for much of the game with a mistake free, ball control offense and swarming defense.
