Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco may be one of the favorites, but on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” the NFL star did not impress the judges.
According to oddsmakers, Ochocinco’s odds of winning it all are sitting at about 8/1.
Chad’s 18 points was not enough to keep him amongst the leaders. Pop star Nicole Scherzinger was tops with 29 points, followed by skater Evan Lysacek with 27, “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka received 23, and Erin Andrews and Pam Anderson got 22 and 21 points respectively.
Only reality TV mom Kate Gosselin scored lower than Ochocinco with 15.
Just before his jive, Chad held up a sign remembering his late teammate, Chris Henry, who wore No. 15. It read: “Chris Henry, I love you. 85 + 15 = 100 Ways to be great.”
He later said the judges should have given him 15 points to honor his fallen teammate.
Many bettors like a Chad Ochocinco play in this season’s competition. His 8/1 odds are long enough to possibly make a little money, while he is still one of the favorites.
Scherzinger is at 5/4 and Lysacek sitting at even money. Erin Andrews and Pamela Anderson are each at 15/1.
