According to NFL sources, the Chicago Bears and quarterback Jay Cutler agreed to a two-year extension that will keep him with the team through 2013.

Under terms of the deal, Cutler will get $20 million in guarantees and possibly another $10 million in incentives for a two-year extension.

With the possibility of a looming lockout in 2011, Cutler and his agent, Bus Cook, decided to go after some guaranteed money by getting a new deal. With the new contract, Cutler will make around $50 million over the next five years.

Drafted 11th overall by the Denver Broncos in 2006, Cutler has thrown for more than 10,000 yards, 64 touchdowns while completing 872 of 1,392 passes.
