This season’s American Idol competition is really heating up as last week’s final 12 saw the end of Lacey Brown’s run for the 2010 crown.
Although all gave solid performances, odds makers may be turning this one into a two-horse race with Crystal Bowersox and Siobhan Magnus looking like the odd-on favorites.
Many experts believe that these two will make up the final. Crystal is getting 2/1 odds to take home this season’s crown, while Siobhan is at 7/2.
On the men’s side, Lee Dewzye and Casey James continue to battle it out. They both are currently sitting at about 7/1 to win the whole thing, but that seems highly unlikely as the women look strong this season.
As Lacey was sent home, Tim Urban and Paige Miles made up the rest of the bottom three during last weeks results show.
This is the time contestants really need to step it up a notch. This week’s show could be a big one as Idol producers have decided that this week’s theme is to be the Billboard #1 hits list.
This type of format will give America the chance to see the stars showing off their true talent. It will be a nice change to see them singing today’s hits and acting their own age.
That will be a huge difference from previous shows.
